About Emily
I am currently an English Literature Graduate Student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where I am also a Teaching Assistant. When I’m not working on websites, copy, or marketing materials for brands, I spend my time studying, reading for fun, crocheting, and knitting.
I love what I do, each and every role. Writing and website design allows me to be creative, which is really what I value most in life. My goal here with EBW Writing is to help brands spread their beautiful wings using genuine human creativity.
From Cybersecurity to Writing
My journey to EBW Writing was anything but linear. My career started in Cybersecurity, working with a company in St. Louis. There, I frequently wrote and revised contracts to be signed by clients.
Eventually, I made my way to SKB Cyber. I started as a Cybersecurity Analyst and dipped my toes into the world of copywriting by writing cybersecurity-focused blog posts. I also made occasional social media posts. Here, I learned where my heart was really at: with the words on the page (or rather, the screen).
My time at SKB Cyber inspired me to take the leap of faith into starting my own business. Thus, EBW Writing was born. Thank you for being a part of my journey!

EBW Writing was originally intended to be a ghostwriting service provider for individuals. Even though EBW Writing’s main service offerings have changed, the primary mission has remained the same: to connect you with your audience using the power of the human spirit and creativity.
Ghostie will remain EBW Writing’s logo and mascot so long as EBW Writing’s mission remains the same.
